This is a course in North Tuscon(Oro Valley) that Mom and I played with Ray Kish on our last day in the area in March 2014. Also played a game of "wolf" with this course with Foster, Bruce Embry and Ray Kish…great fun. Wide' open course that was a change from the cactus of Vistoso. Fairly flat and no water, but well kept and a good play for a reasonable greens fee($40).
DOVE MOUNTAIN
Also located in north Tuscon and close to the Gallery courses... Past 6 years played the Accenture Match Play here. We played in January, 2013 while visiting Ray in Tuscon… we had a great visit over 4 days and much hot tub time. Ray's home on the 2nd hole of the North Gallery course... Nice pool and hot tub... Marvelous visit.
DOVE VALLEY RANCH
FRED ENKE
GALLERY NORTH
One of two Gallery courses in north Tuscon. Beautiful course with great views of Tuscon… very difficult. Played with Ray and Nathan Tyler (a young man that Ray sponsors on the Web.com Tour) If he places in top 25 this year (2013) he will be on the PGA Tour. He can hit the ball a country mile... On one 600 yard par 5 he hit a drive and then had a 258 yard shot to the green (all over water.)… He hit a 3 hybrid and hit the ball 20 feet from the pin....WOW! Course in great shape (Jan 2013) and much fun to play. Started with lunch at a fantastic clubhouse.

OCOTILLO
Mike and I played this course when we traveled to Phoenix to watch the Cougs (Ryan Leaf) face the Arizona State wildcats in 1997. Lost to Cats and had to get out of the way after the game while fans torn down the goal posts and carried to the river---a tradition. One of the Coug few losses as they went to the first ROSE BOWL in January, 1998. What a thrill to be there with Fritz, Mary, Joel and Vicki Devries. Jack Westerman and the Leinwebers.... 50 yd line tickets via Ray Kish (Yea!) Perfect day against Mich State but lost in the end with the refs letting the clock run out with 4 seconds still on the clock and Leaf spiked the ball...not fair..Family in front had empty seat with a vase of Roses in it for a dad that passed away the previous fall..they gave me a Rose as I had always hoped to take my dad to such a game, but he had already passed away.
ORANGE TREE
PINNACLE PEAK
Played this course with law school classmate Bob Winston and wendy's cousin Toys huksband, Rod that lived in the area. They both belonged to the course then..Both have moved on to other area courses(Bob and Joan moved to Sun City West, Phoenix). FUn course with a fair amount of water but relatively flat and a good play with good friends.
RANDOLPH NORTH
RITZ-CARLTON, DOVE MOUNTAIN
SADDLEBACK
Also in the Oro Valley in north Tuscon. Played this course with Ray Kish day after we arrived in Tuscon. Wonderful day, on a fairly wide-open course with generous greens. Retirement community surrounds this course and cost was reasonable at $31 per round including cart. Course north of Tangerine on Oracle Road.
SILVER BELL
SKYLINE
This private course is home to Dick and Carolyn Leon near La Paloma course. Played this course with Dick and Carolyn.. Mush of the course on a hillside…not all that long but very tight fairways and smallish greens. Clubhouse with all glass looks out south over Tuscon. Wasn't hitting driver well, but last hole hit two good 3 woods and sand wedge 10 feet away…missed the birdie putt…Short par 4 10th that is easy birdie hole if kept straight. March 2014.

VISTOSO
This was a challenging course with very long carries over much cactus..It was only blocks from where we stayed with the Leinwebers in March, 2014. Played the course with Foster, Mom and Ray Kish and Bruce Embry. Well kept course and several water holes…saw a havilina on the 9th fairway. Didn't play well first round..too much carry, so moved to a little more forgiving set of tees and made it more enjoyable…Also had several breakfasts at open air restaurant by the 9th green…how delightful!! Course located in north Tuscon in Oro Valley just off Tangerine St.
